How a commission works
A commissioned painting begins with conversation. You don’t need final size, technique or budget upfront — we start with the feeling you want in the space. Sending an inquiry does not oblige you to order.
-
Share your idea
Describe the mood, colours or story you imagine. Feel free to add an inspiration image or a gallery reference.
-
We refine together
We discuss size, tones and fit for your space. Open questions are fine — we’ll clarify step by step.
-
Price, timing and terms
Once the direction is clear, we agree on price, schedule and terms. An inquiry doesn’t commit you — nothing is confirmed before shared clarity.
-
The work is created
I paint an original in the agreed direction and keep you updated along the way.

About
I’m Triin Sarapuu. I paint original works and commissions for homes and gifts. I’m drawn to colour, quiet, and the stories people want to live with on their walls.
Works can be softer or bolder depending on the space and wish. When the process supports it, portraits, photo-inspired pieces or abstract surfaces are welcome — always as a new original.
If your space is waiting for a painting, write to me.
Guides before commissioning
A commissioned painting may grow from a personal idea, a room, a colour preference or a photo. A custom commission lets you think through size, format and overall direction before work begins. Here you will find practical guides — including painting from a photo or image.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need exact size and budget upfront?
No. You can leave them blank or choose “Not sure yet”. We’ll refine details after the first conversation once the space and idea are clearer.
How quickly will the painting be ready?
It depends on the request and current workload. Share your preferred timeframe and I’ll tell you honestly what is realistic.
Can I send inspiration images?
Yes — up to five images. They help capture mood and colour. Inspiration never means copying one-to-one.
Does an inquiry commit me to ordering?
No. An inquiry starts a conversation. An order is only confirmed once we agree on price, timing and terms.
Can I reference a work in the gallery?
Yes. Open a painting and choose “I’d like a painting in a similar style”, or note the reference in the form. That sets direction — the result remains a new original.
Can a painting be a gift?
Yes. Describe who it’s for and the mood you want. If the deadline matters, say so right away.
Can I commission a painting from abroad?
Worldwide shipping may be available. We’ll confirm shipping availability, costs and details before you place your order.
